D1037 Western Empress

D1037 Western Empress

£16.99

THIS TITLE IS TO BE PUBLISHED IN 2021: D1037 becomes the latest member of the Western fleet to get the Chronicle treatment in this homage to one of the blue/small yellow panel machines. D1037 famously, like D1036, went straight from as-built green livery to blue, only D1004 went straight from green to blue with full yellow ends. The use of red route restriction circles, oval stencils for depot codes and data panels gets the full treatment on the locos painted into blue with small yellow panels. This together with research into which machines, including D1037, got the Fablon red circles placed on the cabsides by enthusiasts in 1976, makes for another enthralling addition to the collection. Then there is the police investigation into its identity as well as a new look at the Brentford Yard derailment that forced her withdrawal. Boasting more than 60 pages on glossy paper, this A5 size hardback with customary Chronicle dust jacket, is another must have for Western fans of all ages, modellers too. Retailing at £16.99 which includes FREE PACKING AND POST, it’s another snip full of invaluable information.
